The Village Center at Copper Canyon is a 57-acre mixed-use center set within a proposed master planned community of 1300-acres. 1900 homes are located within and around the village center and 140-acres of business park use are located adjacent to the village center in the rolling hillside.

Located on a site with expansive views of the City of Reno and surrounding mountains, the Copper Canyon Village Center is an arrival address to the master planned community and planned as a local “destination center” for shopping and entertainment. Storefronts line the “main street” of the center with the majority of the parking to the rear of the shops. Village greens, plazas and “great lawns” provide space for community events and gatherings. Restaurants, a sports club and the community’s recreation center and clubhouse are located to allow for maximum view opportunities for the enjoyment of the village center visitors and residents.

850 residential units are located within the Village Center “proper” comprised of apartment units over retail and a variety of for-sale homes, both attached and detached. A condominium tower with underground parking anchors one of the center’s “great lawns” at the base of a 180-foot landform, which provides the backdrop to the Village Center. Adjacent to the center are an additional 200 residential homes located in hillside neighborhoods and within walking distance to the center. The Village Center is designed with retail tenant concerns and pedestrian movement and comfort as the defining parameters. Retail “blocks” are approximately 300 feet in length with pedestrian paseos and/or vehicle access to parking lots in the rear. Short term angled parking is provided along the storefronts. Sidewalks are expansive to allow for storefront cafes and displays, as well as decorative lighting and tree plantings. The central median of the “main street” is 50 feet wide allowing for informal activities, art shows, etc., geared to the pedestrian, while the broader village greens and great lawns provide space for a wider variety of social activities.

Approximately 220,000sf of retail, restaurant and entertainment uses are proposed, as well as a sports club and community recreation center.
